The best AI solutions are the ones that users do use. Building a great machine learning model or a super efficient scheduling algorithm is indeed terrific, but it does not help anyone if it cannot reach actual users. Users would instead continue using the applications they know rather than learning how to use new ones. At Mediaan, we build many machine learning models and use efficient algorithms to solve all sorts of problems. This summer job allows you to be involved in productionizing artificial intelligence by integrating these models and algorithms into existing solutions.

Research topic

Beside investigating various possibilities with different APIs or existing automation tools, we would love to see how this works in practice by building small demos. For instance, you will be expected to provide demos of some of the following use cases:

  • Implement e-mail routing/filtering in Microsoft Outlook
  • Integrate an FAQ bot into Slack
  • Implement a custom search function on a website
  • Add content moderation to a social media page (Twitter/Facebook/Instagram)
  • Serve deep learning models as Excel functions

Technology stack

You will be acquainted with Python/R, Docker, REST APIs and Azure Cloud.
